  • Complimentary airport shuttle service

    Our Moto location is located minutes away from both the domestic and the international terminals.

    A Moto Car Rental complimentary shuttle service runs during our opening hours, with a collection and return service to the terminal buildings.

    Simply call us on freephone 0800 656 564 and we will dispatch our shuttle.

  • Auckland Domestic Terminal Pickup Information

    On arrival please phone us on freephone 0800 656 564 and we will dispatch our shuttle.

    Please make your way to the shuttle pick up collection point at the bus shelter across from the parking. 

    Wait at the shuttle collection point, look out for the white and red shuttle and we’ll get you to your car!

    Walk-ins: If you have arranged to make your own way to our depot, you will find the depot address in your travel documents or on your branch locations page. Please call us freephone on 0800 656 564 for directions anytime.

    On departure: Please allow sufficient time to call at the depot to drop your vehicle off to us and allow for time to inspect the vehicle and transfer time to the airport. Most international airlines require that you check in at least 2 hours before flight departure to complete formalities. If you have arranged an early drop off at the airport (prior to our opening hours), please confirm the details and instructions for the early drop off with Moto Car Rental when you pick up your vehicle.

    As you make your way out from the arrival gate walk past Dunkin Donuts go to Door #39.

    From here turn right to get to the shuttle pick up zone.

Common information

  • Driver’s Licence

    In order to quickly pick up your vehicle, please remember that all drivers must have a current full New Zealand drivers licence. If your licence is not in English, you must carry an official English translation or International Driver Permit (IDP) together with your original licence. Please be aware that most European license's don’t have their description fields in English and won’t be accepted without a translation document. 

    Moto Car Rental will accept Digital Drivers Licences (DDL).However, if you are visiting from a country/state that operate under a DDL, we strongly recommend that you also have a physical copy of your license while traveling in New Zealand. A driver may be asked to produce a physical copy by the New Zealand Police to prove the DDL is valid. No scanned copies will be accepted.
  • Credit Card

    Please ensure you have a valid Credit Card or a Debit Card with the Visa or Mastercard logo in the main drivers name. You will required to leave a pre-authorisation of $400 when collecting your vehicle if paying by debit card, which will be released at the end of your hire. Cash, prepaid and reloadable debit cards, gift cards and Travel cards are NOT accepted for payment or to be used for the pre-authorisation, this is for security purposes.
